Hello Community!! I'm looking for help in finding any information regarding my great grandfathers family in Ireland.

I have been researching mine and my wife's family trees for a number of years but still have one major brick wall.

My great grandfather was Anthony Hunt from Murneen, County Mayo. He was born circa 1861. I have all the information on him and his family from 1883 onward in the Salford area.

He came over some time between 1881 (where he is mentioned in an Irish Petty Session) and 1883 (18th May) when he marries Delia Quirk at what is now Salford Cathedral.

According to the marriage certificate Anthony's father Charles (allegedly deceased at the time of marriage) was a bricklayer and that's as far as it goes. I can't locate any other information so I'm hoping somebody might be able to help!

cheers

Andy

Thank you for contacting FamilySearch. When you are signed in, at the top left of a person page is Search. Click on that, then Wiki. From Wiki, you can search Irish records for your great grandfather and his father.

    Happy Hunting!
