Socknehandtverkare
I need help with the word «Socknehandtverkare».
From word lists, I am getting some kind of parish craftsman.
Is that correct? Why wouldn’t they be listed at their place of residence?

Your translation for Socknehandtverkare is correct. it means parish craftsman. These young men on these pages were craftsmen at this parish (landmunicipality) and they did not have permanent residency places. They moved from house to house where they services were needed. For example first man, Sven Petersson b 1820, he was a shoemaker and after his marriage he settled down with his family and was marked where he lived.
