WWII P. O. W. ‘s
I found a newspaper article that mentioned my great uncle was a prisoner of war. The paper was dated June 1946. His name was Claude Edward Marcus, he was a pharmacist mate or something like that in the Navy. I’ve searched everywhere I can think of and can’t find any records or anything else that shows anything stating he was a P. O. W. I’m attaching the article here. Anyone have any ideas where I may be able to find these records online? Thank you :)

@X24 MOM If you know his home town, you might find a local veterans association that has POW records for WWII veterans from that area. Here is a link to a directory provided by the VA of many different veterans associations that may be helpful. It includes contact information for such organizations as The American legion, The American Red Cross, American Ex-Prisoners of War (Arlington, TX), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and many more.
I hope this will be helpful to you. Good luck with your search.
