    Bonjour Laure:

    I looked for records online for Rădăuți, and found nothing for the year you mentioned (1895). Religious vital records were typically copied for the civil registration and can be found at the regional archives in Suceava. The address is:

    Strada Stefan cel Mare 33; 720003 Suceava, Romania

    Some useful information on dealing with Romanian archives can be found here (in English):

    https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/img_auth.php/6/64/Romanian_Genealogical_Research.pdf

    I hope you are able to find some records there. Bonne chance!

    Nate

    Bonsoir Nate

Bien cordialement

    Laure

    Hello Laure!

    What religion did your ancestor belong to?

    There are some records for Radautz on FamilySearch/at the Family History Library - see this catalog link here: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/results?count=20&placeId=58699&query=%2Bplace%3A%22Austria%2C%20Bukowina%2C%20Radautz%22&subjectsOpen=556146-50

    There are Catholic church records from 1785-1940 and Evangelical Lutheran books from 1835-1939. There are also some army church books too.

    @Ellie Vance, I didn't intend to ignore those results, so thank you for bringing them up. I noted that I did not see anything viewable online (e.g. without having to travel to SLC or a local FH Center if a copy of the film is able to be delivered there).

    @Ellie Vance

    Hello Ellie. My great father was catholic roman. I already saw the link about church records for Radautz but those that interest me are not online... and in my family history it's not sure my great father was borned in 1895. Thank you very much for your answer

    @najensen @laure neubauer

    If those records are not viewable online, you can try the Family History Library's new record lookup service. It's free! You can read more about it here: https://www.familysearch.org/family-history-library/family-history-library-records-look-up-service

    You can request a record look up even with an approximate date (1895 +/- a few years), although the more details you can provide in the form the better :) Hopefully this helps!
