Looking for anyone doing research in St. Erth. I have several Blights, Oateys, and Cocks.
Please consider using my site, ogindex.org, as it has 68 record sets for St Erth. Might help in your research.
I tried ogindex.org
I put in the search bar for England: England, Cornwall, St. Erth
1750 to 1850
Results : 0
Did I do something wrong?
@LecatesJudithEleanore1 , I also got zero results until I changed the search Town to "St Erth" then 70 results came up. I hope you will try it again. There were zero results when I entered "Saint Erth" or "St. Erth" but when I removed the period after "St" it showed the results!
Town: St Erth (with no punctuation)
Thanks for clarifying. Setting up the ogindex.org database, I decided to drop the period in St. It may be useful if I add an alternate option back in with the period to help people find the data. Another side project for my spare time!
It is now fixed so you can search with a period after the St. The fix was simpler than I had thought. Hope that helps you get the results you wanted. I have fixed Cornwall and Devon. There may be more counties with Saint place names.
Adapting a website search to user needs is better than users having to adapt to the website formats. Perhaps a notification of acceptable search formats would be a good idea?
