12 Dec 1881: Luigi Scaramuzzi, 32, bricklayer, reported the birth at 7:30 am on the 9th of the month in a house on Via Piazza, to his wife Antonia Maria Dileo, housewife, of a female given the name Caterina. Witnesses were Michele Pontillo, 51, peasant farmer, and Giovanni Abbate, 32, peasant farmer.
The writing at the bottom has nothing to do with the birth; it is the town official declaring the book closed (there was no more space). There were more births recorded but in a supplemental register beginning on image 140.
There is a further entry from the regional pretore (since this is a state archive copy of the birth register) having reviewed the book.
