@AbbyPeart we are so glad you have joined our community - It is a great place to get help and to help others!  We have a lot of talented, experienced participants here.

Be sure to review the links at the top of our community page for some great resources - we add new ones as we find them.

We look forward to hearing from you.  Most of the time, it is best to "ask a question" - do this by selecting the arrow to the right of "new discussion".  Asking a question allows you to accept the answer or let us know you would like more help.  (I was able to change this post to a question for you.)

This reply to you will show as a rejected answer - I mark it this way so that your post will still show as a question and not show as answered because my reply does not answer your question, it just offers you some ideas.

Thanks for being patient as we wait for a response to come from a volunteer with the needed skill set.  It would be good if you included the identification number of this person in Family Search Family Tree so we can see the bigger picture.

We look forward to your comments and questions.

    Enjoy today! Cindy Jarvis

Thanks so much, Cindy. I'm happy to join and currently researching my St. Louis, MO Germans. And thanks for changing my entry to a question; this is the first time I've joined a FamilySearch group and still have much to learn. The ID number for Gerhard Janssen is GZJV-5J1.

    Thanks again!

    Abby
