Impossible for me to find a birth record

My name is Patrick GERARD I live in Southern France. A member of my family is english, from London. At the present time he is doing is genealogy on Family Search.

He tries very bad to find the birth record of one of his ancestors. Could some one tell me where I can search to find this record, because on internet I found nothing. So complicated. I am very swimming in the yoghurt, indeed! really

This person's name is: John MUNN, born in July 1735, Ombersley, Worcestershire, England his wife's name is: Hannah SHAW borne in 1735, Ombersley, Worcestershire, England. They where married on 3 january 1761, in Ombersley, Worcestershire, England.

The problem is that people loaded on My Ancestry and Ancestral Quest wrong information about this man, because I found the same father John MUNN (1697-1762) , BUT there is two names for the mother: Once it is Elizabeth HAY (1701 - ? ) Married in 1732.........., and once it is Elizabeth PEARCE or PRICE (1710- ? ). Married in 1735.

IF I could have the help of someone I would be deeply thankfull, to find out where I can find such information.

Le nom de cette personne est : John MUNN, né en juillet 1735, Ombersley, Worcestershire, Angleterre le nom de sa femme est : Hannah SHAW né en 1735, Ombersley, Worcestershire, Angleterre. Ils se sont mariés le 3 janvier 1761, à Ombersley, Worcestershire, Angleterre.

Le problème est que les gens sur my Ancestry, Ancestral Quest ont mis des informations erronées sur cet homme, car j'ai trouvé le même père: John MUNN (1697-1762) , MAIS il y a deux noms pour la mère : Une fois c'est Elizabeth HAY (1701 - ? ) Mariée en 1732.. ........, et une fois c'est Elizabeth PEARCE ou PRICE (1710- ? ). Marié en 1735.

SI je pouvais avoir l'aide de quelqu'un, je serais profondément reconnaissant de savoir où je peux trouver de telles informations.

I checked the FreeREG website, but their indexed records for Ombersley (at least regarding MUNN) do not start until 1761. (See https://www.freereg.org.uk/search_queries/60bf410733045b68ad274085?locale=en).

I next checked out the FamilySearch Wiki page for Ombersley, at https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Ombersley,_Worcestershire_Genealogy. There appear to be no images generally available (except, probably, through the Worcestershire Record Office -https://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/info/20189/search_our_records ). However, the page suggests both FamilySearch and Ancestry have indexed records for the parish. On checking for John Munn marriages in Worcestershire (at https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?q.givenName=john&q.surname=munn&q.marriageLikePlace=ombersley%2C%20worcestershire&q.marriageLikePlace.exact=on&count=20&offset=0&m.defaultFacets=on&m.queryRequireDefault=on&m.facetNestCollectionInCategory=on I noted the following:

8 May 1726 Ombersley John Munn married Ann Pardoe.

In mentioning the alternative spouses (above) that you appear to have found, I wonder if you had previously seen / disregarded this event (and Ann Pardoe) as relating to this John Munn?

The one baptised in 1714 (if also born about the same time) would have been too young to have married Ann Pardoe in 1726. Obviously, there could have been other events (baptisms and marriages) at nearby parishes (for example, where were the two marriages you mention are supposed to have taken place?), so it would be worthwhile for you to carry out further checks (say within the county of Worcestershire) to see if this provides anything further.

Using my website, ogindex.org, I quickly found the christening in Ombersley, Worcestershire for John Munn as 1st August 1735 on a FamilySearch IGI batch number C040282. There are two entries for this person in the Family Tree. One with each of the mother's you gave earlier. L1D2-ZSF and KK1P-YMF. I am suspicious of the Elizabeth Hay as an option as the marriage is in a town in a completely different part of the country (not in Worcestershire!) It is in Selston, Nottinghamshire (the church was St Helen's so we know that is correct) but that is 86 miles drive from Ombersley! I could not find a reference to Price or Pearce.

I would discount the parents that include Elizabeth Hay. Their children in Family Tree are christened in Kent and Worcestershire so that family is a mess and has been stitched together from other records. I hope this helps in some way!
