I can use some help deciphering the penmanship for a birth in Kroppa, Sweden. The reading of the parents names are problematic for me. The entry is for the "2nd Olof" bap 7 July 1723.

See: ArkivDigital: Kroppa (S) C:2 (1722-1759) Image: 10 Page: 11.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The parents are Johan Nielsson and Ingebor Månsdotter. The farm/village is Knatten. Olaf was born on 3 July. Witnesses are: smith Jonas Andersson at Skarphyttan, Erich Jacobsson in Knatten, wife Latharine (?) Erichsdotter in Skarphyttan.

    Hi Norm,

To me your translation seems to be for the first entry on 7 July, am I reading this wrong? I am searching the LIllafors (sp?) entry.

I guess I should have read your question a little more carefully! Sorry about that!!

That Olof's parents are Joen Olsson and Kierstin Andersdotter in Lillefors, and he was born on 4 July. Witness are Anders Johansson in Storfors, Anders olsson in Hulta, Lungsund parish, wife Maria Simonsdotter (?) in Storfors, wife Merta Larsdotter of the same place (Storfors).
