Pawel Migas
Hello all,
Bit of a shot in the dark but I am hoping to find information on a Pawel Migas of Hrubieszow. Particularly interested in his WW2 career. We know he was Polish cavalry and most likely present at the battle of Mokra and most subsequent battles in the September campaign up until Poland's surrender. He lived in Hrubieszow and had a daughter in 1942 (my partners Babcia) but sadly we can't get much in the way of information as they never learned what he did in the war (besides the fact he was cavalry)
I realise this is not a lot to go on but we would really appreciate any assistance in discovering more about him.
Thanks in advance.

Birth Record No. 84. It happened in town Hrubieszow on the 11th September 1915, at 2 pm, presented himself before us Jan Migas, 39 years old, a landowner from Slawecin, in the presence of Wincenty Aroniewicz, 40 years old, and Stefan Malinowski, 46 years old, both from Slawecin, and has shown us a male infant, stating that he was born in Slawecin today at 9 am, of his legally married wife, Zuzanna, born Aroniewicz, 36 years old. This infant at holy christening performed today was given name Pawel, and his godparents were Wincenty Aroniewicz and Julia Aroniewicz.
This record was read to the one reporting the birth and to the witnesses and signed by us.
Note on the margin of this birth record: Pawel Migas died on the 13th of May 1997 (?) in Hrubieszow. Death Record No. 103 (?). (This death note is not very clear, but maybe after you use URL address you may be able to read it better)
Death Record No. 117. It happened in Town Hrubieszow on the 12th December 1917 at 10 am. Presented themselves before us Jozef Aleksandrowicz, 24 years old, and Stefan Malinowski, 48 years old, both from Slawecin, and stated that yesterday at 11 am died in Slawecin Zuzanna Migas, 35 years old, daughter of Andrzej and Tekla, born Lebiedowicz, married couple Aroniewicz. At death she left widowed husband Jan. After confirming with my own eyes, the death of Zuzanna Migas, this record was read to the ones reporting the death and it was signed by us.
Please keep in mind that Polish authorities observe European Union Privacy Law, restricting the access to the records within the last 100 years.
It looks like I cannot put the links posting this comment to you, so maybe you can find those original records yourself by going to lubgens.eu -- Regestry -- enter surname and first name - search

You may try Facebook where Polish Genealogy Society sometimes has access to more recent records.
I checked MyHeritage and google.com for Pawel Migas Hrubieszow, born about 1920, with no results.
You may contact Hrubieszow Civil Records Office, but it may require notarized papers re relationship.
