About line was removed from Private Messaging
Whenever we sent a message to another user by clicking their contact name where they contributed to the tree, there was an About line at the top of the message indicating who we were sending a message "About." It is still on that popup in which we type our message. But when we go to Messages and then Show All Messages, all of those About lines are gone from every message.
Many of us became used to knowing we didn't have to retype everything in the body of the message, because it was right there for the message receiver to see. I have messages in my list in which I didn't add that information and now if I need to go back to any of those, I have no clue who I or the sender was talking about.
I am a FamilySearch Support missionary for Family Tree, and we have been getting others who are not happy about the About line being removed. Was this an oversight? I realize it's in preparation for other changes to come, but won't any other messages that come through that feature have a Subject (similar to About) line? And since the About line is still on the popup we use to send the message, how difficult could it be to retain it on all of our messages sent and received?

Hello @Dale Linda Hein,
Good question.
Are you using the website or mobile?
I looked on my phone app and the "About" shows up.
I just looked at my messages on my computer, which I used this week. I never look at that "About" because I just think it should be there. So thank you for the question.
It is there for my messages. I just deleted the cookies on my browser and FamilySearch.org yesterday as I was having some glitches in the website. Perhaps it would help if you deleted the cookies on your browser and the FamilySearch.org site.
I went to the ?Question Mark on the upper right by my picture on this page. I clicked on Help Center and put in "Delete cookies" and got this for our browsers:
This was on the search also. How to delete cookies from FamilySearch.org; https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-delete-cookies-from-familysearch
And here is another article from the same search: How to set my cookie preferences: https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-set-my-cookie-preferences
We hope this is helpful.
Please let us know.

Hello @Dale Allen Lowry
Were you able to see the About after deleting the cookies?
Or are you and other still not viewing the About?
Please let us know.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
