Help Build Our Tempe, AZ Family Tree
Tempe, Arizona is 150 years old! Tonight, Monday, April 12th at 6:55 pm, I am giving a free presentation online to the Tempe Chapter of the Family History Society of Arizona on the "Help Build Our Tempe Family Tree" project and more ways for adults and youth to get involved. You can help by yourself from your home, or if you want to attend a short training session, we'll offer those periodically online and in person in small groups at the Family History Center at College and Alameda in Tempe, Arizona, USA
.
Guests are welcome to tune in tonight:

Help Build Our Tempe Family Tree 1871-2021 will show people connections to early residents. Maybe they have the same profession, the same surname, or live in the same neighborhood. Volunteers are needed to cross-reference the 1880-1940 censuses to get all Tempe residents in the FamilySearch Family Tree and enrich the history by attaching photos and records. A community sesquicentennial celebration is being planned by the city for November 2021 at Tempe Town Lake. We will have a booth/table and opportunities for residents and visitors to use QR codes to find connections to other Tempe residents. There will be large posters at the Tempe History Museum about the project results.
This is an official Tempe 150 project with the Tempe History Museum! 🙂 Thanks for taking a look and supporting our goal to help people "see" their family. TempeHistory.org
