I have a very hard time to decipher a marriage record. I would appreciate any help you can provide.

The marriage was in 1903 in Oberndorf bei Salzburg Austria. I cannot figure out the bride and groom ancestry.

They had a child name Elisabeth 15 Sep. 1913

    Dear Bernard,

Elisabeth's father was Johann Wolf, house owner, born 2 February 1873, married 28 August 1903. His mother was Maria Wolf, I cannot manage to find a father.

Her mother is Maria Wolf, born 13 November 1876, (widow of Stefan Scharber), daughter of Ferdinand Hietl and Maria Hauthaler.

    Best regards,

    Anna

Thank you so much for your help. Any indication where Maria and Johann where born? I cannot find a birth document in the birth book of Oberdorf -bei-Salzburg for the birthdates listed.

    Thanks again.

Johann was born in Palting, Bezirk Braunau near Salzburg and was the co-owner of house 218 in Nussdorf (with some luck you might see it on google maps, if it still stands), Maria Hietl was born in Nussdorf, I think.

Let me know if I can be of any further help.

You are wonderful. I already found Maria's birth document but it is so hard to read. I do quite well with old French documents but I am not so good with the German. The hardest part is the handwriting.

Here is the link to maria:

I hate to abuse of your kindness but I would appreciate help to figure that document out.

German documents are such a great source for genealogists.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Bernard

PS. If you ever need help with some French documents do not hesitate. I am in the US but I was born in France and I can really help with the language and the French handwriting..

I will do my best, the handwritig is totally different from the rest of Europe, I have been studying it, as I was born in Czechoslovakia and need it.

This time it may take me a little longer, I'l ltry to get as much information as possible. The mother's side is especially hard to read. So please be patient.

Thank you for your kind offer.

    Best regards,

    Anna
