Do these sources conflict?
Hi all: I'm researching my ancestor Stephanus/Stephan/Stefan Reibelt (GH4S-96X, 1584-1648).
Unfortunately, I only have secondary genealogical sources to go off of, since the records for Würzburg (Stephanus' home town and the town he was mayor of for a short time) were destroyed in WWII.
I am having trouble determining who his childrens' mothers were (he was married at least three times).
I have the following four sources about his life:
An entry from the Bamberger Kartei: B (familysearch.org)
Lists children Tobias, Georg, and Apollonia as children of wife Sabina Schmid (or is it just saying that these three were his children, not specifying the mother?).
An entry from a genealogical index of Bavarian high families: G (familysearch.org)
Lists children Johann Georg (same as "Georg" above), Johann Philipp, Anna, Sabina, and Tobias as children of wife Magdalena Dehn (again, though, is this just listing them as his children?)
Another entry from the same genealogical index: G (familysearch.org)
This one is throwing me for a loop. If I am understanding it correctly, it's saying that Stefan had an affair with a Dorothea, the widow of Heinrich Fleischmann and claimed the children Tobias, Apollonia, Magdalena, and Maria Barbara as his own. I don't know who these children are. And then it references a silver book. Or am I just completely misinterpreting the document here?
And then a genealogical book covering the Reibelt family: Archiv des Historischen Vereins für den Untermainkreis (1834) - Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (bsb-muenchen.de)
This states that Stephanus had a son, Johann Philipp, with wife Magdalena Dehn; that he had children Anna, Sabina, and Apollonia, with wife Anna Bauer; and that he had children Tobias and Johann Georg with wife Sabina Schmid (Johann Georg is listed on page 137 [image 147] after the book goes on about Tobias and his life and descendants. It looks clear to me that Johann Georg is Stephanus son according to this record).
Here's what I'm making of the sources:
Stephanus married Magdalena Dehn and had a son named Johann Philipp. He then married Anna Bauer and had three daughters: Anna, Sabina, and Apollonia. After that, he married Sabina Schmid and had Tobias and Johann Georg with her. He then ended up having an affair with (and maybe marrying?) Dorothea Fleischmann and somehow tried to claim her children as his own.
Is that at least somewhat plausible?
Thanks!

Thank you! Since the move to the new platform I didn't realize that you could mark something as a question. Thanks for your help :)
