I am researching many lines of my Czech family. I do pretty well with birth, death, and marriage records but land records are a different story. Is there anyone that can help translate land records such as the attached?

Thanks so much for any guidance you can provide!

Please is there someone in our community that can give Cathy an idea of what these records contain? Maybe just the basic info, not necessarily a word for word translation?

You might try contacting Kate Challis at http://czechoutyourancestors.com/about/. She gave the presentation "How to Use Czech Land Records" at the 2019 CGSI conference. She offered to email her presentation on request. That has some information about how to translate land records. She also said that she was working on a book about land records. I don't know the status of that (although I'd be very interested in that, too). She will give a similar presentation on land records at the 2021 CGSI conference. Good luck.

Thanks, Tim. I sat in on this presentation and and will reach out to Kate. My problem is trying to read the writing, even of the names and towns, in many of these documents. I wish they had typewriters back in the day!
