Notification of question and response.
Is it possible to have this site set up so we can be notified through e-mail when a question receives a response? This was very helpful in the old version of the community.

Click on your account icon in the upper right corner and choose Edit Profile. Then choose Notification Preferences. There are fifteen types of e-mail notifications you can turn on and off. Several deal with being notified by e-mail when someone comments on a response:
You may want to turn them all on then if you get e-mails you really don't care about, try and figure out which ones to turn off.
The second column is to be notified by a pop-up. I'm not exactly certain how that works.

Thank you, I had forgotten I had to do that.

For my opinion these notification preferences are missing the most important option which was available in the old community. I could choose the possibility to get emails about new posts in my groups every post/daily/weekly, but I cannot find that possibility in this new system. Instead there are some nonsense notifications like badges and ranks, which I have no use.
I think my helping here in this community is going to decrease a lot. Before I could see all new posts on my email, which I look very often, and then I could choose if I had time and knowledge to help. But I don't have time or energy to come here every so often just to look if anyone needs my help!

Heidi, I have set up my notification preferences as in the attached image and I am now receiving e-mails when someone responds. I hope you will continue to participate in the community-your contributions are very helpful and I always look forward to-and learn from-your responses.

Hello Norm, Yes I can get an answer when some one responds but I am not receiving any emails from NEW posts like before.
