Is it common to find a marriage index, but then not be able to find the full marriage record book th
Hello again! I haven't posted in this group for over 2 years and I'm finally getting back into some of my research.
I can see in the marriage index that Wenzel Wurst (L7LB-K8M) and Anna Zimprich (GM9N-SQC) were married on 3 July 1854 (right page, 3/4 down), but I cannot find the associated complete marriage record book that would contain more details of their parent's names and house numbers. Luckily I have found the birth record of each individual which contains their parents and house numbers. But I'd still love to find the marriage records. It states that their marriage is in the matrik II;16 (registry 2;page number? 16). Is there somewhere else I can look? This comes from the Zamrsk Archives on Family Search. The husband Wenzel Wurst is from Rathsdorf (present-day Skuhrov) which seems to usually be grouped with the larger city of Ceska Trebova, Usti nad Orlici, Pardubice area of the Czech Republic. I have searched the year 1854 of the marriage records outside of Skuhrov, just in case, in Rybnig (93-6074) Parnik (93-4013) Ceska Trebova (O2-2362) and I even ventured out of Ceska Trebova into Lanskroun (135-9) and Usti nad Orlici (v. 164-17) and (v. 164-11).
The index seems to suggest that there is a more complete record because it indicates page numbers, but I just can't find the said book. If the couples in Skuhrov were married before 1849 I'm in luck, but anything after that I have to depend on a very incomplete marriage index. Is there a possibility that the record isn't digitized? If so, is there a way for me to confirm that?

You haven't missed anything--the book isn't there. I did some digging and discovered that the book you are looking for hasn't been digitized yet. The marriage book for Skuhrov in Ceska Trebova parish starts in 1850 but goes all the way to 1949, so it's restricted due to privacy laws. This is the entry from the list of undigitized registers at the Zamrsk archive:

In case it's helpful, here is the link for the Zamrsk version of the parish registers. They are zip files embedded in a pdf so they can take a really long time to download, but they are labeled better than the FamilySearch versions, so they can help you narrow them down faster.
