Have you tried various spellings of the name? Where was it recorded that he was born in 1733?

Thank you Cathy for responding. I have tried Akester , Akister , Acaster the date recorded was on his marriage license issued by holy trinity church Hull in June 1756 when he married Elizabeth Waaf of Stepney as being 23 years old again in 1781 when he married Anne Holdsworth he was reported as being 48 years old widower.. I have tried neighbouring parishes but strangely I can find very few records from any source prior to the mid 1700s. Maybe records were lost destroyed in the second war?

You have done well to document a birth year. It is entirely possible that registers no longer exist. According to Phillimore's, Kingston Upon Hull registers were deposited at East Riding of Yorkshire Archive Office 1554-1971, but obviously, there could be gaps or destruction. I noticed that FamilySearch has book "A handlist of parish register transcripts in the Borthwick Institute of Historical Research." There is also "A collection of parish registers for Yorkshire copied from the printed records and arranged alphabetically by surname" - volume 4 includes Hull Trinity. I have heard that the Family History Library will soon begin doing lookups, perhaps you could get someone to help you with these books.
I suspect since you already have a birth year, what you are really looking for are the parents of Robert. Since Robert was married by license, that suggests he or his family might have been a little more well-to-do. His family might be listed in secondary sources. Additionally, marriage by license generally required the posting of a bond. If you have that, you might see who posted it - often a relative. You may have to take an indirect approach to finding him by finding his family.
I note on the FamilySearch Family Tree MJ6L-N68 that it is hinting the spelling Ahester. You might try searching with wildcards, A*ster for example. I ran that search on Find My Past and it brought up a "Robertus filius Roberti Akister bapt 5 Sept [1740] in North Cave, which appears to be about 15 miles from Hull. Baptism so long after birth seems a bit odd, but at least the family name is found there.
