Koean War military file records
My father served under the draft in the Korean War
What military records are available to me as family? Via what resource and how?

You can start here: https://www.myheritage.com/research/category-3000/
You can also search here: https://www.fold3.com/
But if you really want the full record, you'd have to write the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, MO. Here is the webpage with instructions: https://www.archives.gov/personnel-records-center/military-personnel
Please note that they are WAY behind due to COVID, so it could take a long while to get anything back. I ordered something last July that hasn't arrived yet for my father, but I did receive an acknowledgment that they were working on it. I have had great success getting records of my father-in-law (pre-COVID) that included a bunch of decorations he didn't even know he received! Some Korean records were lost in a fire some decades ago, but even though my F-I-L's was what they call a "burn" record, they were able to recreate much of the information from other sources. So they do a wonderful job!
Good luck!
