Holocaust survivors list by UNRRA
(Posting for a cousin)
Here's a shot in the dark. I'm looking at a list of Holocaust survivors from my father's hometown made by UNRRA. I'm almost certain none were in concentration camps. Most have a D or a C and then a five digit number following their name. What do the nos (e.g. D-63429) signify? They don't match up with DP camp registration card numbers.

Hello!
I am not very familiar with UNRRA records - it looks like the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum has some UNRRA records - have you tried contacting them to inquire if they perhaps know what the numbers mean? The JewishGen forum groups may also be a good place to get some answers. Keep us posted on what you find out! Sorry I'm not able to help more.
