218F9DDA-4780-4F10-BA65-D58F149121B5I have included a picture of my Grandmother’s birth certificate. I understand most of it but still have a couple of questions. I hsve circled with orange highlighter where I have questions.

A couple other questions about about getting a copy of birth certificates. My Great Grandfather was born in Csepe and Great Grandmother was born in Batar (I think). I would also like to get their marriage certificate. Since I think it is all in Ukraine now how do I get it. I have names and dates. I can’t seem to find anything online.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Surname of mother, Bánová

Right up, something in Slovak language

Bottom, I prove this certificate the same with the Nevetlenfalva registry district original birth record.

Place, Nevetlenfalva (Неветленфолу) date, stamp, signature, x.y. registrar

I think this copy was made after 1st word war because it was written in slovak.

Thank you. So this is the first time I've seen Banova. I was told and I've seen B'an so this is a surprise. I wonder why.

Also, is there somewhere online I can look up birth certificates and marriages for my Great Grandparents? Especially since I know there are Roman Catholic. Do you know if there are church records that are online? Thank you for helping me with this. This has been so hard to get confirmed information.

Bánová is the same as Bán, except feminized in Slovakian. It's probably not what the actual register says, as that's probably in Hungarian, which doesn't do grammatical gender.

FamilySearch has a lot of the relevant church registers, but what's available greatly depends on exactly *where*. (Places that are now in Ukraine have almost nothing available.)

    Thank you.

The towns are Csepe and Batar.
