Hello, I have this marriage record for my ancestors, Ferencz/Franciscus Jakab and Rosalia Kovacs. I can make out that they were married April 24, 1864. Is there anything else useful here? Their marriage is the very top right. I had help finding the place name, which he said was Gerse (Gersekarat) Hungary. But I can't translate any of the information to the right of their names after religion (Roman Catholic) to the end of the record. I don't want to miss anything important, because I do not have their dates of birth or death yet, only their marriage date, and children.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C33D-BSTF?cat=392663 <- This is the record, probably easier to view it there.

Thank you,

-Carly P. Addington.

It's in Latin (not Hungarian), which means among other things that all of the given names are in their Latin forms.

    Number 3. 1864 24 April

Groom and bride: Franciscus Jakab, oxherd, Rosalia Kovács

Place of origin and residence: Karátfölde, Sárfi Mizdó number 9

    Religion: Rom. Cath.

    Age: 26 years, 19 years

    Status: single

Witnesses: Franciscus Stoicsics, steward, Joannes Kondor, noble

    Officiant: Josephus Mayer parson

    Announced thrice

Observations, parents: Franciscus Jakab farmer, Elisab. Vadász, RCatholics; Adamus Kovács noble, Rosalia Toth RCath.

Karátfölde was immediately west of Gerse; they have now been combined into Gersekarát. Sárfimizdó is about 2.5 miles south and a little west of them. They're all in south-central Vas county, Hungary, roughly halfway between Körmend and Zalaegerszeg (in the middle of "you can't get there from here" country).
