Help with a feast day...
I'm looking at the 1748 christening record for Per, father is Jon Leum. It is the 5th record up from the bottom. The record before shows feast day of Dom 2 (23 June) and the one after is Dom 3 (30 June). There isn't a feast day listed between these and I can't decipher what is written there. Can anyone else make out the date? Thanks!!

The term you see is Fest. J. Bap.
Checking here: https://dinslekt.no/helligdager.php
for 1748, you will find:
Tucked in there between the second Sunday after Trinity and the third Sunday after Trinity is "St. Hans dag (Festum nativitatis St. Johannis Baptistæ)"
So Fest. J. Bap = Festum Johannis Baptisæ = Feast of the birth of Saint John the Baptist which in 1748 was on Monday, June 24. It is a fixed feast day because it is always on June 24.
As I said in your other post, I really like the website I put the link in for above because it lists all the feast days: fixed, moveable, any day of the week, currently celebrated, those that are not on the current calendar, and their various names.

By the way, these records for Øyer have been indexed and it looks like all of them have been added to family tree. You may have a lot of merging to do to get rid of duplicates.
Here is Per's record: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VWGX-H41
and his duplicate Family Tree entry: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/MXPW-Q95
It is still very important to get the original sources attached and the information verified, as you are doing. The indexes can be wrong.

Hello #[Julie Lofgreen] ,
You can also convert feast days using the feast day calendars in the FamilySearch Wiki. The word "Festo" indicates that it was not on a Sunday so it is a fixed feast day. The wiki has an alphabetical list of feast days for Norwegian research (in this case J) at https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Norway:_Fixed_and_Moveable_Feast_Days_beginning_with_J. Or if it had been a moveable feast day you could choose the year to see a list of moveable days at https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Norway_Feast_Day_Calendars.
Also, just because there is a magnifying glass icon in the catalog to indicate that some of the volumes have been indexed (or extracted) in the past does not mean the database is complete today. Before indexing, FamilySearch did extraction by having volunteers use paper cards. Not all cards were sent back to headquarters. Not all cards were processed into the system.
