Warsaw Poland, changed boundaries
Hello from Karelyn, Australia. After watching and listening to various topic on Roots Tech over the past few days. I would like to ask if maybe I have been searching for my great great grandparents un the wrong place. I have been searching for birth records in Warsaw Poland. However during some of the discussions on line I now find that there are a number of places around Warsaw where they may have come from. Living in England the surname and even the forename had numerous spellings. Alias also pops a couple of times. Great Great Grandfather Saul/Shultz STARGAT/STARGATT,(just a couple of spellings), Great Great Grandmother Pearl/Polina/Pauline NAPHATALLA/NAPHTALI. I have told that that records where destroyed at various times so I am thinking that my brick will is going to remain. However I do need to cross of all my options.
Regards,
Karelyn

Hello, The question I believe is, how did You arrive at the Warsaw as a prospect, what is the last document, what's the last link in the chain. There are many Polish sources but it's hard to speculate.
Have a wonderful day!

Have you tried to search Jewish Record Indexing Poland, where there are many Naphtali people listed in Kalisz area, but only one Naphtali person who died in Warsaw area.

I personally don't have any documentation for the families in Poland. Warsaw was the place name that was handed down from a couple of my ancestors that have know passed. Therefore I am not able to verify whether the information I have is correct.
When I have sorted this one I will be searching for Gauhl/Gaull in Germany. Unfortunately not a lot of information on that family either.
