Hi - you can order the actual pension records by using this form: https://www.archives.gov/files/forms/pdf/natf-85.pdf You'll need the info provided on the index in order to get the records. They're way behind due to COVID, but if you order, you should eventually get it! Those records will likely open up LOTS of information to further your research.

Unfortunately, It looks like the National Archives aren't even allowing people to order the documents right now because of COVID.

You don't need to order any forms. Just print the PDF form that I linked you to above. Fill it out and mail it in. The online application doesn't work, but you can do it manually. That's what I did in July, and though I haven't received the records yet, I did receive an acknowledgement that my request was received. Things are going to start opening up in the next few months, so I'd have my request in so they can get going on it!
