Help to find ancestor from Zdounek in Moravia in 1840`s
hello!
my name is peter.i have mapped up my ancestors on my grandfather`s side all the way till 1846-ish.Have a marriage certificate from 1873 where the place of the groom`s origin is Zdounek(in the Austro-hungarian Empire there was a small village called Zdounek in Moravia). No hungarian village matches at all the word which is quite difficult to read. From history i realized that they brought people to Hungary from Moravia to settle down at the time. The village is now called" Zdounky, Kroměříž, Zlínský kraj, Czechia".On FS there are a couple of Land registers only from there and my ancestors were peasents so they didn`t own land.On websearch found a person in Zdounky with the surname but unable to contact him.Looked for the surrounded villages for birth certificates, and the only one i found is a town nearby but no luck with my ancestors(find more matching surnames though).hit a brick wall! not sure what to do!!!Any suggestion would be appraciated!
Ancestor`s Name is Anton(Antal) Melicharik
FamilySearch ID G416-RZ8
Birth certificate number 5 Father`s name with origin says zdaneki lakos(means from Zdanek)
Thank you for any help
Peter

The parish registers for Zdounky are held at the Brno archives and they have been digitized. You can access them here: https://www.mza.cz/actapublica/matrika/hledani_obec?search_by_obec=Zdounky. You can change the language to English at the top.
