Where is a good place to begin researching family members of the Navajo tribe?

Navajo or not - normally the best place to begin familyresearch is not on line nor here in FamilyuSearch - BUT rather among your living relatives.
Aunts, Uncles, Relatives, Neighbors, people of your culture around you.
start with yourself - write down information about yourself
then write down information about your parents and uncles and Aunts and cousins.
Visit navajo museums, leadership groups, cultural collections.

@Marla Smaka I know that the Navajo Nation has made great efforts to work on recording oral histories and documenting family history in the recent past. Do you have a direct connection to the tribe you could start your research from? A grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc. as @Dennis J Yancey suggested?
