There are two places I would suggest you post the letter.
- Submit the original to the War Letters Project by Chapman University. This is a wonderful project that aims to preserve letters written between lovers during American wars.
- Upload a copy of the letter to John Allen's "MEMORIES" module on FamilySearch, and tag both him and his wife. This way, anyone who ever sees them during research, will have access to the letter.
Since both of these options are completely free of charge, AND will keep your treasured letter available in perpetuity, I think you'll be happy with these avenues.
