The handwriting in the Klokkerbok is a bit clearer

and the word in the cause of death column can be seen to be Tæring.
Googling that brought me here:
which says this is pulmonary tuberculosis.
This dictionary entry says it was called tæring because people "tæret hen" which translates to "corroded away." I've always wondered why tuberculosis used to be called "consumption." This Norwegian term suggests it was because people were consumed by the illness. Not a pretty picture.

Corrosion is one meaning, consumption is another, and consumption is a good description of what tuberculosis does.
