Easily finding relatives with no spouse/children listed in Family Tree
Hello, I apologize for posting a second time, but I can't find my original post post-conversion to the new platform.
The subject line says it all. I want to be able to easily find relatives with no spouse or children listed.
In the prior thread, Puzzilla and some software at BYU were cited, but these appear to simply identify flags for all possible missing children, which includes any case where more than ~3 years pass between births. This results in 99%+ flags being false positives. Instead I am looking for a way to identify ONLY those that have no spouse and/or no children.
Prior to the transition to the new platform, one user said Legacy and AQ can do this. I have not found this functionality in those programs. A video link was posted but the video did not appear to be relevant. If someone knows how to do this in AQ I would appreciate a pointer.

An "Easy" way to find relatives with no spouse and no children.
Best bet is to read the AQ Help for "How to Use Advanced Search (Filters) and follow examples to understand how this works.
Here's an abbreviated explanation--
From the top menu bar choose Seach-->Advanced Filter/Focus
Selection by Relationship = All, click Select
Field Selection, click define
Possible field, choose #Marriages, double click
default is =0, click OK
Click AND button to add next filter
Possible field, choose #Children, double click
default is =0, click OK
Click OK Button at bottom of window.
In Field Selection note the count. Should be different than count of All.
Far right under Other Option, click checkbox for Show results only.
You may (will) have to clear field selections to have AQ work normally after this, or you could save the current filter to use again.
Good luck.
Does this answer your question.

Thank you! I'll have to download to AQ to try this out but it looks like it will do it!
