I suspect your ancestor dies in Sulsdorf, not Sudsdorf. Correct?

No problem . just double-checking. Sulsdorf belongs to the Lutheran parish of Petersdorf auf Fehmarn. I just looked at the church burial records and did not see a Mayer burial in May 1850. Hence my second question. Please share where you got the death information.

Thank you. This time I was able to access the burial record right away! Let's look at the information it provides:
#20 died 15 Buried 19 May 1859 the laborer widower Johann Friedrich Meier, alumnus of the local poor house, "auf der Wasserburg [=address] near Sulsdorf, born at the GoorgGoorz estate ["in Gute Goorg/Goorz" or "Gute Gaarz"] in Holstein, married to Elsabe Johannsen, who already died on 17 October 1855, an from which marriage three children are living, whose names were listed under # 48 in the year 1855, whereby one has to note that Gertrude Meier, married Spiekermann, auf der Wasserbuirg now has a legitimate living child called Louise Catharina, age 1 1/4 year.
The next step is to look at the wife's record for additional details, so we go to record #47 in the year 1855. The records are available on both Ancestry and FamilySearch, but on Ancestry the left- and right side pages have been joined together again, so that they follow each other consecutively. And the records are indexed there, so easier to search. See https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=61456&h=10629654&tid=&pid=&usePUB=true&_phsrc=LIy3630&_phstart=successSource
#48 died 17 buried 21 Oct 1855 the wife and alumna of the local poor house Elsabe Meier auf der Wasserburg [address] near Sulsdorf, legitimate daughter of the local deceased baker [?] Hans Johannsen in Ohrf [?], was married to the survivingJohann Friedrich Meier, from which three children are still living
- Christopher, laborer in Borg, married to Anna, mn. Andresen , who have five children
- Catharina Margaretha, married to the wheel maker Christian Heinrich Haak in Sievershagen, who have four children
- Gertrude, married to Juergen Spiekermann auf der Wasserburg. She has one living illegitimate child named Johannes Stoertenbecker
Age of the deceased: 72 years
A matching baptism record in the same parish shows the family's residence in the village of Orth on the island of Fehmarn. See https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?dbid=61456&h=8960214&indiv=try&o_vc=Record:OtherRecord&rhSource=61456 Unfortunately it doesn't link to a marriage record, but the couple was likely married in Petersdorf , the bride's parish. A search on Ancestry shows the marriage record https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=61456&h=910595474&tid=&pid=&usePUB=true&_phsrc=LIy3636&_phstart=successSource , date: 20 Aug 1806.
"Aug 20, 1806 The bachelor and servant Johann Friedrich Meyer, son of the deceased Jürgen Meyer and [name unknown] at "Guthe Gaarz" in Holstein, with Elsabe Johannsen, dauhter of theskipper there Hans Johannsen and Elsabe Rugen.
However, the three living children may habe been married on Fehmarn island, and those records could tell us where they were born.
In the mainland Kreis of Oldenburg we find both the Gut Gaarz, Ev. parish Oldenburg, and the Gut Görtz, ev. parish Neuenkirchen. both good possibilities for the husband's birth. See https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10533028 for Gaarz.

Unfortunately FAmilySearch doesn't have the baptism records for the ev. parish of Oldenburg in Holstein for around 1783, only marriages. And there is a Juergen who gets married around the same time. See https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSCB-D3FL-1?i=19 To solve this, you can write to the record-holding archive or wait until the church records are on www.archion.de.
