Migration from South Carolina to Alabama 1800-1820I saw something recently about reasons why people migrated to Alabama in the post colonial period and would like to learn more. Does anyone have suggestions? I'm researching a Cantwell family who moved from South Carolina to Alabama between 1790 and 1818. I'd love to do some reading that will help me understand the context of the lives I am looking into.
