about 75% of the Yanceys/Yancys have a photo of the grave posted as well as often photos of the deceased and / or obituaries.

 

but there is still about 25% that dont have a photo yet posted. Probably about half of that are graves for which we will probably never have photo - as there probably is no marker.

 

but thats still over 10% of graves that have yet to be photographed.

 

Usually its a simple task - just clicking the request photo button - and a Findagrave volunteer in the area will attempt to obtain a photo. (You dont have to do the photographing)

 

but as a user I can only request like 10-15 per two week period.

but if each of you also request - we can get a large number of them photographed.

 

really this is quite a miracle that just within a few clicks - we can see the grave marker

of almost any Yancey grave across the country
