We've been searching for my husband's grandmother's details and hoping to obtain a copy of her birth certificate.
Beatrix Sarah Jane BURKITT OR VENTURA (she was adopted by Thomas Ventura -date of death 30.12.1936- she was born 2 June 1904 and passed on 16.06.1972.
We understand that she was placed in the Loreto Convent (unfortunately we do not have a time-frame either) in "Queenstown" - we presume this is East London, Cape Town
