Norway Translation of Marriage Record
I have a hit that Ole Taraldsen married Randi Knutsdatter around 1800 in Sunndal, Romfo, More og Romsdal county, Norway on page 102 number 4 (left page, left column).
- My hit says Ole Tarald is from Ottem and this record says Moen? Can this still be the same person? This is the only record I can find with a name that matches close to my hits from farm books I am using.
- What is Randi's last name in this record and does it says where she is from?
- What is the date of this record? (I'm not an export feast dates)
- Anything else that will help me that is in this record for family history?

1) Without supporting evidence, it can be hard to determine if the Ole Taraldsson in this record who is living at Moen is the same person as the Ole Taraldsson who at another point in time was living in Ottem. Often the best you can do is demonstrate that there are no other Ole Taraldssons marrying Randi's Knutsdatters in the appropriate time period. Sometimes you can do this by finding a child's birth. In this case, since they were married in 1800, the 1801 census should really help. If there is only one Ole and Ranid in the 1801 census as a married couple and they are both young enough to have just been married, then you probably have the right marriage record. But record your doubts and your reasonings.
2) Randi's name is given here as just Randi Kundsdatter. No other information is given about her. The older the records, the less information there tends to be. Some times in these earlier records, there will also be a record of engagement (Trolovelsen) a couple of pages earlier. Sometimes that will record where the bride lived. The word after Rand's name is "Spons." or Sponsors/bestmen.
3) The date is given as Samme Dag = same day as the previous record, that is 5 Dominica efter Pasche (or Paaske) = 5th Sunday after Easter. For practice, look it up here:

4) Unfortunately, no.

I took a look at the 1801 census. There are only three Randi Knudsdatters and only one of them is married:
The one that is married is 30 years old, is married to Ole Taraldsson age 24, living at Ottem with three children ages 7, 4, and 1.
So this census entry does look like the Randi and Ole you asked about before who had their first illegitimate child when Ole was 17. Have you found the birth record for the four year old, Maret? Was she also illegitimate? Where was Ole living then? Was the 1 year old, Knud, born before or after they got married? Where was Ole then? These are all questions that may help you decide if you have found the correct marriage record. (I'm off to look for birth records!)

So here is Maret's birth record:

Entry 21, starts on the very last line of the left hand page. She is also uægte so they were not yet married. It is unclear from the record as to whether both parents were living at Ørsund or just Randi.
And here is fascinating information:

Top record in last column is for Knut, born to Tarald Moen. No patronymic for Tarald, no mother's name, and no indication if ægt or uægte. Christening date is Dom 6 a Pasch (25 May 1800), one week after Ole Taraldsson Moen married Randi Knutsdatter. This record is missing so much, I would be very comfortable concluding that that the record's errors include the father's name and that this is the third child of Ole Taraldsson and Randi Knudsdatter who was born either a couple of days before or a couple of days after they were married.
The three birth records, the marriage record, and the 1801 census all fit together quite nicely into a single picture of this family.

At the time of their marriage Ole Taraldsen lived at the MOEN farm at the time of his marriage and for Randi Knudsdatter it does not list her farm. They were married same day as above 5 Sundays post Easter which is 18May 1800.
They are both listed in the 1801 census for Sunndal, Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Here they are listed as tenant farmer under the farm Ottem Ole Taraldsen age 24, married, tenant farmer with no land and Randi Knudsdatter age 30 1st marriage for both.
