Do you have any other information about him? When/where he was born, married? His religion? Any details can help.

 

I'm assuming you mean Markušovce near Spišska Nová Ves, Slovakia? Most Slovak church records are not digitized after 1895, but it does depend on the area. (Civil death records start in 1895 but are usually not online yet). Most Slovaks were historically Catholic, so I would start there if you don't know his religion.
