I have been researching Czech Roman Catholic parish records. I have found several cases where the age on death records appear to be several years older than they should be when compared with birth and marriage records. Is this common or to be expected?
I have seen some 6 to 10 years off.

It is both common and to be expected. The priests did not usually go back and look up their other records.
