Is there someone who can help me with my SA family research?
Before I emigrated to Canada I found information in the shipping records at the Family History Centre next to the LDS Temple. in Johannesburg. Sadly I did not record all the information and I am wondering if any of you do research there. If so could you help me?

If you have some details about the shipping records you could share maybe someone can help locate a copy at another location.

The information that was available at the Family History Center in Johannesburg, is likely available at a Family History Center near where you live now. FamilySearch has over 5,000 of these centers across the world. You can Google an address. Alternatively, let me know the city or town you live in and I can send you the contact information.

the shipping records I mentioned were privately owned and on loan to the FH Centre next to the Temple in Johannesburg ON CONDITION they were not photographed or scanned. You could copy by handwritten only. So.. no they will not be available at other stations. UNLESS the owner has since granted permission.
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

A couple of things.
I love Edmonton! Here are links to the Family History Centers near you. Check the hours as both have limited access hours. However, based on what you shared it may not help.

There are missionaries in the Family History Center in the center in Johannesburg. They have periods through the day, where they can help with family history research. You should be able to connect with them directly. Johannesburg Family History Center, Address: 5A Jubilee Road in Parktown, Phone: (011) 645-1461 If this does not work, please let me know. I have friend that has an office nearby and may be able to assist.
