I believe I have attached the link and copied the marriage record of Eric Häggblom and Stina Cajsa Persdr. December 29, 1833. It looks like the brides father is Per Larsson. Can you tell who the grooms father is? Also, are there any other names, dates, occupations or locations listed?
I think I see an Åland, would that be the Swedish or Finland locaion? Thanks so much. Julie

Yes, the marriage record says that Eric Häggblom was born in Åland which is Finnish location. I does not say who his father was.
There is no Eric Häggblom born in any of the Åland parishes that I could find.
In household record it says he was born at 8 May 1794:

There was born one Eric at 8 May 1794 in Föglö but he died at 1796.
In household record it says that Eric Häggblom was born in Hammarland: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0049419_00280
Vätö kyrkoarkiv, Husförhörslängder, SE/SSA/1590/A I/12 (1838-1843), bildid: C0049419_00280, sida 261
But there is no Eric born on that day, I don't think his birth date is correct.
Most likely Eric was known with patronymic when he was a child and then later he took his last name Häggblom.
Here are the Hammarland church records:
Hammarlands församlings arkiv (digihakemisto.appspot.com)
- Pää- ja rippikirjat (communion books, same as household records)
- Syntyneiden ja kastettujen luettelot (Birth and baptisms)
- Vihittyjen luettelo (marriages)
- Kuolleiden ja haudattujen luettelot (Deaths and burials)
Unfortunately there is a big gap in births, marriages and deaths. Records for the years 1711-1793 has gone missing (Inventory catalog from 1820 says so).

One help what you have is that Vätö marriage record says that he was a Bonde son and dräng (house owner/farmer and farm hand).
One good possibility for Eric Häggblom, but it needs to be studied more:
Eric born at 26 May 1794 to Johan (Jan) Andersson and Lisa Mattsdotter in Nordanberg, Såhlis, Hammarland. Father was a house owner.

Eric moves out, it does not say where or even if he moved out from the Hammarland or inside, to other farm.

In the next book he is not anymore with his widowed mother and sister. This book needs to be searched, if he is mentioned in some other page.

Thankyou for looking at these records. The reason I was looking at Eric is because I was wanting to know if he could possibly be a brother to Johan Häggblom, born in 1812 in Åland. In my quest to find out about who Johan's family members may be and exactly where he was born a researcher in Sweden found an Inrikes Pass record from October 15, 1825, where Johan and Eric Häggblom were traveling from Stockholm to Åland. Johan would have been about 13 yrs old but his brother could have been any age. I know of Johans life in Sweden from 1836 0n, marriage, children, etc., it's prior to 1836 I am looking for and Eric is the first possible brother or immediate family member I have found? Do you still think he couldn't be related to my Johan? If he is and he married and moved back to Finland I don't see how that would exclude him from being related to Johan? Also, they could have changed their last names to Häggblom from something more common. Thks again, Julie

This Eric Häggblom who married Stina Caisa Pehrsdotter in Vätö at 29 Dec 1822 can be followed from about 1819 to at least 1845 (I did not look further) There is no evidence that he would have moved to Stockholm and then at 1825 to Åland. With him there is also Johan Häggblom born at 1796 in Hammarland, Åland, married in Vätö at 1824 and moved to Frötuna at 1826. These two, Eric and Johan could be brothers.
I do not think that this Eric Häggblom is a brother or any other way related to your Johan Häggblom born at 1812 in Åland.
I think that both of them, your Johan and this Eric took the last name Häggblom and they were known with patronymic when still living at home in Åland.

Thankyou, I think I am at the end of the road looking for him, there seems to be nothing else out there at the moment, this brother link is all I have at this time.
