Samoan heritage or descent database or process?
I'm working on a university sport project that is looking at search first/surname of people around the world who potentially have Samoan heritage or descent. Is there a database or a process I can use to find out the heritage? For example, if that person's grandmother was Samoan. The outcome of the search is to work out if the people I find are eligible for Samoan sport. Hoping I can get some guidance.

Good question @AlastairMcLae1 AlastairMcLae1 I'm not aware of any databases and unless the athlete shares their personal family history online publicly, the only way to find out their heritage is to contact them.
I have a nephew that plays professional rugby in USA but he doesn't have a typical Samoan name because his father is not Samoan. There's no way to know of his heritage unless news reporters ask him directly or speak to his family.
