Is Bergslagen a mining town?

In this Household Record Mans Pettersson moves to Berglagen in 1853. I read that that is a mining town in Varmland and that it is next to Norway. How do I find records there? When I do an index search for him on Arkiv Digital nothing comes up. Arkiv Dig v12896.b181.s174

    It seems like, reading Wikipedia regarding Bergslagen, that it's an area not a particular town. And it's a very large area.

    Did you see the moving out comment in the 1848-52 records? It seems to suggest he might have moved in 1851 and there is a different destination name there (still in Bergslagens but this one says South Bergslagen)
