The "answer" to this is easy to find by typing FLETCHER into a Google search. However, as it is an occupational surname it would be difficult to pinpoint any geographical area for its origins. From early parish register records it seems the name was quite evenly distributed throughout England by the mid 16th century.

take a look at these two resources:

    https://forebears.io/surnames/fletcher

    http://yanceyfamilygenealogy.org/ISRR/F/FLETCHER.htm

however as Paul points out - you cant just assume that all or even most fletchers are related. This is an occupational type surname - meaning various Fletcher families - totally disjoint - could have originated - with no blood connection.

and this is true of many English surnames.
