Is there another usage/translation for the suffix "Jyde" other than Jutlander? In family records and parish registers, a grandfather Niels Nielsen, L7GW-GG2, had the suffix added to his name with his marriage and children's christenings.

Niels grandfather, Niels Laursen/Lauridzen, L7GW-P9G, was born on Jutland, and lived and died in Braaby, Soro. Would the suffix designation carry down through the generations?

Another request: translation of parish register: Braaby, Soro, 1645 section, image 89;

burial of Kield Jensen, 26 February 1683 (right side page, 2nd entry of 1683 which is 3rd entry on the page)

One more translation:

Haslev, Soro, 1645 section, image 96, Pouel Dineson burial, (left side page, last entry of 1667, 3rd entry from bottom of page).

Your assistance, especially now, is so greatly appreciated. I cannot thank all of you enough. Barbara Slater

    One more translation:

    the 18th November was buried Pouel (Povel) Dinesen, born at Judland (Jutland) who lived and died at Throelstrup (Troelstrup).

    No mention of his age!
