Newbee to Norwegian research and need some guidance.
I really need some help with my Norwegian research and don't even know where to start. I have spent most of my time working on my Swedish line and now feel like I need to do more on the Norwegian line. So long story short where do I start? Right now that line goes back at least 7 generations, but I am finding that there are no sources to backup the information. Where is the best place for me to start?
My Family comes from Horten and Stokke, Vestfold.

I would suggest 3 things:
1). Become familiar with the Norway Genealogy Wiki page here: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Norway_Genealogy . Especially look at the "Norway Online Genealogy Records" and become familiar with how they work.
2). Watch the Family Search webinars about Norway here: https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/search?q=norway+webinars&show=all
3). Ask specific questions here in the Nordic Community. There are many experienced researchers who are willing to help with your questions. When you ask a question, it is probably best to just ask one thing at a time rather than a bunch of questions lumped together.

The principal sources of Norwegian records are parish records (births, christenings, confirmations, betrothals, marriages, deaths and burials), and census records. Fortunately many of the parish records and major census records have been digitized and are viewable at digitalarkivet.no. You can set the language to "English" to help. Parish records typically start in the late 1600's or early 1700's. Country wide census records start as early as 1801. Unlike Sweden, Norway does not have household census records. I second Norm Baker's recommendation. Good luck and the Nordic Community is here to help.

A lot of the Digitalarkivet, the website run by the National Archives of Norway has been translated into English. A good place to start is the "Trace your ancestry" page they have here: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/content/start-genealogy
On that page is a link to a long article, "How to trace your ancestors in Norway" which is located here: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/content/trace-ancestors and probably all the information you need to get started.

The Family History Guide has sections for every country. It provides how-to guidance to the major record groups.
