Trankils parish record 1 - Maria Jonasdotter b 1800
Hello,
I wonder if someone can take a look at a couple of Swedish Household Examination records at a puzzling situation and give me your thoughts.
My ancestor, Maria Jonasdotter b 1800 in Svanskog, Värmland, Sweden, was married to Johannes Jonasson b 1797. In the first attached page we see Maria and Jonas and their two young daughters, Maria and Stina. They were living in Trankils, Värmland as shown.
In the next book Maria Jonasdotter is no longer shown in the household with Johannes. Instead we see another woman, Maria Nilsdotter b 1779.
What is puzzling to me is that if Maria had died the two young daughters would typically be still living with their father Johannes. But neither child is shown in the household with Johannes and the second woman Maria Nilsdotter.
My question for the experts on this forum: is there anything that you can on the first page that would indicate that Maria Jonasdotter was divorced, separated, or otherwise left her husband Johannes and moved away (with the two girls)? There is some notation next to the Utflyttad column on the page but the year on that notation is 1822 which is before the family moved to Trankil parish in 1823. I am unable to read most of the Swedish handwriting to the right of the Utflyttad column so I don't know what it says.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi Kelly,
The first book you are looking in has separate sections for the time period the book covers. The "Register" for the book indicates that here: https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0039168_00008#?c=&m=&s=&cv=7&xywh=2598%2C2759%2C2663%2C1399 .
For the farm or village Ränkeforsen (Ränken), you must look in 4 different parts.
1821-1825 begins on page 33 and then again on page 91.
1826-1828 begins on page 239 (Hint: look for them on page 241) 😃
1829-1832 begins on page 405 (I didn't look there, but it would be a good idea if you did)
Hope you are staying well!

Norm, would it be entirely out of the question to have a phone conversation about this? If not, please call me sometime at 801-809-6989. It would be great to get caught up and find out how your mission is going while at the same time I have another question about the answer that you provided above.
