I would like to know what ålta means as the cause of death for the May 4 entry for Carl.
Thank you for any help you can give me. The child listed below Carl also dies from the same sickness.

This record is found on the Digikamisto site for Kvevlax Parish in Vaasa, Finland. Kvevlax is also known as Koivulahti Parish. The death record is for Carl, dated 4 May 1832, digihakemisto image 142.

It is älta and it is similar decease as malaria.
