i am trying to find out the history of a doctor Giovanni Salvadori, he sent my father letters dated
dated 1952 and 1953 from his address Roma, (Italia) via Vincenzo Picardi also marked on
the letter Fedexport italia Piazza S. bernardo 101
All my family history in this time period is in Ontario and Quebec, Canada. Why
i have photos of my father with this doctor, and letters from Rome from him is
a mystery i am trying to solve. In the photos my father is 48 yrs. old, Dr Salvadori
looks roughly about that age. I cannot find out how to research doctors in Italy, around
1952 -53. any help would be much appreciated. thanks john bell

The online list is here:
Unfortunately it only includes active pysicians.
BTW it shows just one doctor Salvadori (Lorenzo) in the province of Rome, born in 1968.

Alternatively, you may try writing to the "Ordine dei Medici di Roma", the professional association of physicians: info@ordinemediciroma.it
Good luck!

Dear @1956mvp 1956mvp in the active Rome telephone directories nobody called Salvadori still living in Via Picardi Vincenzo.
Concerning FEDEXPORT Italia I found that it was a company treating "Export trade of fresh fruit, vegetables and citrus fruits from Italy" and here some pictures for that. It could be your father and/or Giovanni Salvadori were involved in those kind of things?
Another question for you: are you sure that Giovanni was a physician? In Italy "Doctor or Dr. or Dott." can stay simply for "holding a degree".
It could be also interesting reading the letters or seeing photos because they can contain important details about places and happened facts.
I hope this can help!
