Sweden/Norway In and Out Records....couple of Questions.
I have an ancestor and his brother who have out records from 1854 and 1855 leaving Vänersborg, Älvsborg, Sweden and stating that at least one of them is going to Fredrikshald, Østfold, Norway. My question is....should there be in "in record" in the Lutheran parish in Fredrikshald (Halden)?
Next questions...by 1856, the brothers have moved to Christiania/Oslo and joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Should there be an "out record" from the Lutheran church in Fredrikshald? At some point was The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints able to issue their moving certificates or did they have to go back to the Lutheran parish to obtain passes? Or was the pass in Oslo obtained from the police?
One brother goes back to Sweden in 1856 and the other in 1858...now that they are both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, would I still expect to find "in and out" and "household surveys" of the brothers in Sweden (since technically it was illegal to belong to any other church?)
Just wondering your thoughts. I want to look for any records that should exist.

Karen, you could look here (general area) for incoming/outgoing for Fredrikshald. https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/383/438
