community.familysearch.org
Just a friendly reminder - especially for those who may be new to FamilySearch Community - (and might not visit the community very often - but do get the email notifications of posts to the Family Search group) - - Just remember that when you do get these emails - you can NOT simply REPLY to the email (the way you normally reply to emails) with your answer/reply. Rather you will note a "VIEW/ANSWER" button in side the email. It is through clicking this VIEW/ANSWER button (that will open a browser and direct you to Family Search Community) to the message that you wish to reply to.
On the other hand if you simply REPLY to the email - it will merely result in an email that doesn't actually go anywhere - and no one will read your response
also its a good idea to BOOKMARK the Community Home page here:
https://community.familysearch.org/s/
or bookmark the specific GROUP you have subscribed to.
Also note that once you are in the community - you can access your account setting in the upper right - and also whenever you are on a specific group age - there will also be a link to JOIN or LEAVE that group.

'Yes', correct ...
.
Plus ...
That said ...
.
IF, one DOES select that "VIEW/ANSWER" 'Button', from one's e-mail; THEN, one can/will "Open" a "Browser", to the post in the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum ...
.
But ...
MOST importantly ...
.
One MUST "Sign Into" the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, with one's 'FamilySearch' credentials, to actually respond to the post, in the browser.
[ As you said, rather than in/through the e-mail ].
.
Just an added thought.

I go to groups this morning and it tells me I don't belong to any. I've joined at least 5 groups. Wonder what's up? Yes, I am signed in to familysearch.

nanlwar,
I'm seeing the same thing. Today (Sept 28) is the day that the GetSatisfaction.com forum was to begin being ported over to the FamilySearch Communities. I'm not sure how they are handling it but I suspect it will be partly via a new group. I suspect that that it the issue at this point.
