This is a group that I think will have a great impact on helping others with their family history research and in connecting with others across the globe. I am glad that this Surname Specific Family History Research group is here.
Recently I have taken the opportunity to study a few of my family surnames and have been able to make a few discoveries in my research - whether through geographical research, or through the phonetic changing of the name, I was grateful to have a better understanding.
We had a conversation recently in our @Family & Community—Connect & Inspire! group through @Miles A Meyer about Surnames. I am going to include two conversation links.

Thanks for your feedback!
what surnames are YOU interested in?

Dennis, mine will take some time to sort through as they are in Cyrillic and in an area where the records are hard to come by. One great step at a time. 😊

ok
if you can provide just a few that would be great
I wonder if such names have a somewhat standard Cyrillic to Roman transliteration/transformation
but for example what were the surnames of your Father and Mother?
